Alligator relaxing in the Phillippi Creek in the Pinecraft Park. The same alligator is yawning and flexing his jaws. He is getting restless, thinking about dating, Rumspringa and mating. It is just about that time, in early April when their inner feelings are to go on dates, or if there are any Amish Alligators they call it Rumspringa. According to the information I found they Rumspring through the month of April. Then in May and June they get serious and desire marriage, so they get married. Then the females build their nest and lay about 32-46 eggs in late June or early July. In about 63-68 days later their babies hatch, which is from mid-August through early September.
The time has come to be very carefully around alligators, especially in the evenings and at night.
That’s why we are snowbirds. We flee to MI for the summers!
